Pitch deck questions founders ask
Where can I find real pitch deck examples?
Right here. 377 decks from funded startups, grouped by industry, each showing the slides in the order investors saw them. Open two from the same round to see what changes between a pre-seed story and a Series A one.
Are these the decks the startups actually used?
Most are. A smaller set are reconstructions for companies that never published theirs, and every one of those carries a Concept badge on its page so you always know which you are reading.
How many slides should a pitch deck have?
Ten to twelve. Across the decks here the skeleton repeats: problem, solution, why now, market, traction, business model, competition, team, and the ask. Anything that does not advance that argument belongs in an appendix.
What should I copy from a pitch deck example?
The argument, not the design. Copy the order the claims arrive in and how each slide earns the next one. Copying the visual style of a deck from a different stage or sector is how a deck stops sounding like your company.
Does a pre-seed deck differ from a Series A deck?
Yes, and the difference is evidence. A pre-seed deck sells the problem and the team because there is little traction to show. A Series A deck leads with numbers, because by then the market has answered the question for you.
